LIFE FOREVER

As I pondered all these beautiful and amazing things God has in store for us in Life Forever, it dawned on me—this great river flowing from the throne of God will certainly rival the great Niagara Falls. As it turns out, my trip with my mother has not been canceled, just postponed. And the trip is paid for in full, not by her son, but by the Son of God. And it won’t be for just three days in a rented hotel, but forever as a permanent residence. My mother will not be able to wiggle her way out this time by dying. Death will have been thrown into the lake of fire, never to worry us again. Mom will be so embarrassed by the accommodations Jesus provides for her.

I envision Jesus looking her in the eye and tenderly saying, “Now, Ruth, you need to get used to this. I died to make this available for you. You are a daughter of the Father and have received your inheritance as promised.”

And so it will be for all of us who believe.

Will I see you there? God makes it abundantly clear throughout Scripture that it is his desire that all would be saved and experience this glorious future he has prepared for us. There is room for everyone, but God only wants those there who want to be there. Do you want to be there? Then, before it is too late, you need to let him know. There is only one entry door, and his name is Jesus Christ (John 10:9).

We may never meet in this life, you and I, but if you have decided to say yes to Jesus, I look forward to meeting you in the life to come—Life Forever. You will find me by the river. I hope you stop by. I would like to introduce you to my mom.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ENTRY DOOR, AND HIS NAME IS JESUS CHRIST.
